"The guides were great and went out of their way for me on a number of occasions, they were really good value. I still can't believe the standard of accommodation and the food we ate while on tour. It really was incredible and I feel we were very lucky and it was always nice to know that after a hard day in the saddle we would be bunking down in a very-very nice chateaux or hotel. I haven't mentioned the TDF; not sure how I missed that. What started out as a priority for me to see as much as possible, I got so much enjoyment out of our rides that the tour just happened to be there and we saw it just enough to stay in-touch and see the various parts of the race.
